Image Ahoy Sissy!

Bounty Bay Online has deployed an English version of their website. For those of you keeping track, Bounty Bay Online is a MMORPG game centered around the golden age of exploration. Be a simple farmer, or a ruthless pirate. The choices are up to you. The mates in charge of BBO are promising quite a bit of fun - ship/ship combat, swordfighting, epic missions and more!

* Bounty Bay Online - English

umm i know this may sound weird but this is VOYAGE CENTURY ONLINE. don't know why it's called bounty bay.... but it's got same interface, same characters, same landscape... it's the same game.... anyways check out more information (because the link give here doesn't have much) at www.voyagecenturyonline.com

I was noticing the similarities today on this. The updated interface and the middle screenshot that was posted was of an Asian town.

Trying to figure out what's up. :p

it's the german version of VCO. found out by posting it on their forums. dev replyed saying that it the german version

also what happened tot he comments section for each news item? i loved the ability to write in those things, and read what others thought....

Thanks mate. I wasn't getting a response. I'll edit things accordingly. I really am looking forward to Voyage Century.

On the comment thing, I'm working on that. See, when we moved away from having an integrated forum, it was stupid to have people login on the front, and log in on the forum. We want to put a comment section back in, and oh I dunno, INTEGRATE everything again - and that is one of the next projects for the next facelift, integrated user db and allow for comments to be posted again.

The current version of PA.com was meant to get us by as an upgrade/throw-up as the last major time we got hacked the ISP wasn't producing DB copies like they said they were, so the main site got hosed ... It'll take some time (and funds) but it shouldn't be too terribly long.

sounds like you should be considering a VC sub-forum. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

Another weird little tidbit
VC is touted as free to play while bounty bay is a purchase game and purchase time mmo <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

i've never EVER donated to anything before online. it just doesn't happen in my book, but i've been coming here ever since it was formed, ever since the old sea dogs forum from akella and the mods for that... anywaysif you set up a donation thing, i would so give $20 to the cause, it's worth it for how much you've given to us.

Strange, They advertice and all posting in forum is closed by admin.

I did apply for alpha in VC, got an answer that saying he would send me a confirmation (William) which he never did.

After contacting support the 4th time, I gave up.

The site dont seem very serious keeping their promises.

Don't know about the Bounty Bay stuff. But VCO has been great. The makers of the game, IGG issued me out an alpha account the same day I requested it. I've been playing since the first day of US release and having a blast of a time.

Looking really forward to beta release and then final. This game rocks, its been taking up all my spare time lately, but I don't begrudge the time one bit.

The official word from IGG is the game is FREE FOREVER, if there is a version that is pay and pay to play, its not the same game.

Except for the item shop that will be set up for the final release - would you be willing to buy items with real money every few weeks just cause you want to be competent in PvP and the IGG CEO needs a new Ferrari? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Hmmmm.... I'm pretty good in the fighting part already. Had worked my way up to a lvl 3 ship and almost had a lvl 4 ship before I deleted that character and started over again.

Overall, I'd call VCO a rousing success and well worth playing.

ya, but i agree on the item idea. they have it so that you must repair items after use. and when you do it reduces it's duribility by half which means that in the next time it needs repairs it will be twice as fast as before. also some items have no repair ability... this will happen to paying items no doupt

forcing you to buy 4k of the same cannons just so that when you lose some, you can replace them.... which is lame in my opinion

i'll just pwn with what the game gives me :p or buy with ingame cash

Meh...too much work/. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
