Hmm... this is not good. I've suddenly started having the same probs. I'm playing the game all over again, but now when i go "Deeper into the Heart of Darkness" on QC, there is just a black screen. Same thing happens when i do the "find Rheims" quest on Conceicao, and this fella is supposed to lead me to the pirate fort, but when the screen changes, i see the "house" splash screen, then total blackness.

I wonder if this has anything to do with that Omega driver i installed.

The pistol's just levitating there. In the other model of the shipyard, it was embedded in the floor.

There was once a pistol was hanging in mid air off the streets of Redmond, but i forgot to paste the screencap after the game :p

This is a glitch with using female officers. I believe the models for women doesn't allow a pistol, but it's been modded in partially. The pistol doesn't know where to attach itself so it defaults to `co-ordinates` of 0 wherever you go.

Please load a savegame before location that is black. Change location and after this close application. Post the logfiles here. Maybe their is something that is helpful.

Ah, yes. As i said on the other page of this thread, the locations couldn't be loaded properly. The error can be seen in your system.log files.

the screen whent black when i tried to enter the house in Falaise de Fleur.
 
Same here. The location weren't loaded properly. I would like if you could post the corresponding error.log, because the logfile says nothing about why the locators model for this location weren't loaded.

You're right... the files aren't there. The Jungle_9 folder doesn't exist, and i can't find the sword1.gm file. I've found two instances of the sword1.gm, though... in the new blacksmith locations from the blacksmith mod. I wonder if this has effected anything?

Other than that, i can't think of what else that have been modified since i last played those parts, which is about a week or so ago. Maybe it's the usage of female officers.
 
Yes, the Blacksmithmod seems to be responsible for that thing with sword1.gm.
My sugestion is to give PotC what it needs, because i can't reproduce these errors to look why.
Create a folder resourcemodelslocationsOutside<b>Jungle_9</b> and copy all files from folder resourcemodelslocationsOutside<b>Jungle_5</b> into.
About the sword1.gm, take the missing files from Blacksmithmod and copy them to that path where PotC them wants to have. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />
 
Well, that solved the problem somewhat... though i found that the same thing was repeated when i went to Bare Skull Beach. But oh well... at least the main quest is solved.

the file sh_l.gm that u mentioned...i cant find it in the file u said it would be in, or anywere else.
I'm gonna head to the house in Oxbay near the mines and check the error log after i get the black screen there and i'll post that to see if it helps anymore.

First is you have to reinstall PotC, because this model is from clean PotC and something went wrong when you installed.
Second way is that you send you email adress to me (PM, not public) and i send the complete folder smalhome or that little file only, so as you wish. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
if i just copy my save game folder to somewhere else before i uninstall it, will it be ok just to copy it back when i re install the game?
