But I upped the difficulty by trying to take out a 30 gun war galleon with a damaged 8 gun trade galleon <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Didn't quite work, and put me into a world of hurt for a bit, but I eventually persuaded a Spanish privateer to lend me his brig. The brig seems to be working a little better than that sea turtle of a trade galleon, now I just need to find a ship of the line, or a war galleon to attack. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I'd rather just stick with a Sloop or Sloop of War. Barques are pretty OK too. I only pick up the big ships to carry a large cargo, or if I'm close to a friendly port and I know I can sell it for big money.
 
Yeah, try it on Swashbuckler ... You get you A$$ kicked!

Sloop of War is really manueverable, but you have to watch out for when you get in fights with the War Galleons or some of the more famous pirates. They can wipe you out quickly if they hit you.
 
I kept a war sloop for a long time. Don't be quick to trade away your first ship too quick. It has some nice upgrades. Sloops are very fast and can avoid alot of enemy fire. I finally got a Frigate. It's fast and has about 32 guns. I am the terror of the sea ranked 4th in the pirate list and I’ve killed 4 notorious pirates so far and I found me sister. I'm an Admiral in the Dutch and English and a French Barron. Man dancing is so hard. I'll never get a bride but the sea is my maiden anyway. Check your pirate0pedia and look at the various ships. Look for speed, manuverability etc. Also check the best attack angles for your ship type. I hate slow ships. Keep the wind at your back!

I'm in love with my Frigate. She's upgraded and fast. She be named "The Black Pearl". Harr! I have a price on me head too. Those Spaniards just hate me.

Dancing isn't so hard, honestly!

There are only a couple different patterns you really need to memorize.

To score big, you must move on the down beat. You can pay off big - as I did in my preview - CLEAVAGE SHOT! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
 
You'll get better. basically, when she asks you to move forward or backward, odds have it, you will follow with a 1 or 3 key after that. There are not "patterns" per se, just combinations of moves that are used often enough so that you can sometimes anticipate them a bit.

I have found it harder to "super woo" them in the final version than it was in beta. I was a Casanova in beta... now I'm just a pimp wannabe!

(LOL!).
