I want an armour-smith. The thing is, you get armour only on certain skins (eg. Lucas) and sometimes you dont want those skins, but you want the armour. Is there a way to put an armoury into the game, like the swordsmith? Even better would be changing the skins slightly to make it look as if they have armour, but thats probably asking too much too soon.

Something like that has been implemented to a Pre Build 13 version. It just doesn't work perfectly yet.

The armor items, and there are three levels, were in use in build 10 and/or 11.

I'm guessing they got disabled when the tailors mod came online.

HKD, with the new armor it's just like an inventory item.
It gives you the protection, restricts movement somewhat, but doesn't show on the character skin.
 
My understanding of it was that the heavier the armor, the slower were your attacks.

Yeah, that 1 hit kill thing does get very annoying. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

It's those darned shots that kill ya that makes me go ARRRRRRRGH! (oops, wrong thread!) (haha!)

I usually only carry a small (fine) pistol, unless I get a good scrapper pistol. Otherwise, when I KNOW I'm going to be in a HUGE battle (say a boarding), I might use a brace of pistols...
 
Well, if it's a small battle, with only three or four assailants, I usually can only get ONE shot off before I'm in close and have to use my blade.

Even tho it's a real hack and slash with not much finesse, I do like the swordfighting in PotC...

The swordfights in <i>Redguard</i> were terrific! You had control and could do some fancy stuff... You know, I have that here, somewhere, the demo, that is... Never opened it up to install it. Saw the game on PS2 and thought, oh well, hack and slash, not my thing, really.

Is it good? Do you have it for the PC?
