Aop ship models, some reskinned, some not.

Ahoy Lads!

I tought about uploading a few AOP ships, on the ftp for an eventual possibility for someone to put it in game.
Those might be useful with the selectable ages mod, or could be bases for ships reskins or for new ships, i had the time to quickly reskin some of them.

<u>AOP Barque</u> (stock texture) <i>This one might be nice to sail?</i>

<u>AOP Pinnace</u> (stock skin) <i>I tought this was a nice model, that could be used as a dutch merchantman, refering to it's color scheme</i>

hmm.... unlike most AOP ships, those look pretty nice. the war galleon has a bit wierd dimensions on the bow though.
 
Fantastic! Very well done. Even AoP frigate now looks good. I'll download it and put those ships which are reskined into PotC. I even once made one of reskins of AoP War Galleon, but unfortunately I lack the time to make more.

they just have more scratches and shadows textured on. that makes the difference.
 
I seem to be unable to find the folder on the ftp <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

I usually access it via the link given on page 2 of the ftp topic.
 
I <a href="http://pafiles.com/potc/AOP%20Ships%20Models/" target="_blank">found them</a>. They were on the old FTP.

You too, Seb, for providing them in the first place, of course. A slight suggestion: to ease downloading, it would be convenient if all the files for one ship were packed into one archive (.zip or .rar) file, so you don´t have to DL each part of the model seperately.
 
Using an FTP program like <a href="http://s31clan.com/privateftps/pietersmods/potc_downloads/tools/ftp_commander.zip" target="_blank">FTP Commander</a>, you can download them all at once.
 
Thanks a lot <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> that wasn't much at all, i might plan, if i get time to make some variations about those skins, in the future, i will think about the zip solution, it's true it's much more convenient
 
I will try some of these ships (that lugger especially <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ) but I have to admit that some of those ships look still butt ugly ..especially that frigate. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eww" border="0" alt="sick.gif" />
 
That frigate looks more like a galleon of some kind. To me, anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
not really a galleon, but it's definately wrong. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" /> speaking of wrong and galleon, that galleon could be nicknamed pinnocio.
 
Still... who thaught those AOP guys to make ships? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" /> Some of those ships are uglier than my butt.
