Anyone been good enough to complete everything?

numpty01

I ask this as it seems a near impossiabilty (excuse spelling) to complete all the quests as ones health doesn't last long enough to complete ALL the quests?

I have managed to rescue my Daughter and my future wife (Govenors Daughter) but age is a real factor, do you think there will be a patch which could let you get past 40 (ish) ?

Just out of interest what age have you been at when you have completed ALL the quests?

Cheers

I've completed all of the quests and got all of the levels of promotion from each nation, but did not get the maximum number of wealth points. My score was 122, and I retired in poor health at age 42. (I think I could have kept going to acquire more wealth, but my fencing skill was getting worse, and frankly the game is a little boring when all the quests are done!)

I just about did everything except for one pirate and couldnt find the lost city of Olmec wich frankly pissed me off!!! It gets boring so I just retired was 44 in poor health[/img]

I've not retired yet,but I'm 40 an health is fail'n so don;t know how much longer I can go <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I finished everything by the age of 42 in my third game (adventurer difficulty). I did it again in my fourth game, but on Roque difficulty and by the age of 41. Both games 126 fame points (naturally).

The max score should be 126 (all adventures finished), but there are screenshots going around with more than that (129 points). No one really knows where the extra points are coming from...

Managed te hit 112 at age 40,so probly keep going till I drop <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

so 40 seems the age that the games end

meaning you have 20 years to complete game (thats cutting it fine) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

Well, my game did not end. I just decided to retire because I had achieved everything. You can go on until 80 and more if you want to if you never divide you plunder (and plunder enough to keep your group eternally happy - a million in gold should pretty much do it).

The only setback is that your skills start deteriorating slowly...

All family members rescued, Montalban made my cabin steward, duke from all four nations, all famous pirates sent to Davy Jones´locker and their treasures in my purse and one lost city was the best I could manage on adventurer.
The high ranks was the easiest part - always attack the nation who´s at war with the most and only that one. You´ll get promoted quickly by the others and if that "most hated" nation status shifts to another, your former enemy is quite forgiving.

My score is 127 points. You can see it in high score sticky

It really is not all that hard to get 126 if you plan your quests.

Get them relatives while you are spry. You can dance for the Inca maps at your leasure. Pick up those pirate treasures when you can. Leave the named Pirates until you are getting a little slow, then bag them all in one voyage.

It is almost impossible not to get Duke in Dutch, French and English by just pounding on those juicy Treasure ships and the named Villians. (Spain is almost always at war with the world and you can cash in on this far too easily.)

Getting Spanish Duke is slightly trickier. Get that easy amnesty then simply work the Spanish. Deliver Immigrants, New Governors, whump on those common pirates that come from sending out Pirate and Indian attacks. Forth Duke comes easy.

Yes this works at Swash too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

Just trying to get to the bottom of this: Do you know where you got the extra point?

Also, can you tell me if you have installed one of the trainers on your computer? I ask, because I just want to make sure that it is not the trainer that has changed the game code on some people's machines and allowed larger than max high scores...

Hmmm...the 127 is a mystery to me, too. The picture first picture on the high score page shows the 127 score, but shows only 3 inca cities found... How can that be? Unless the score for accumulated wealth can go beyond 24???

Got 127 once. The time I rescued the 4 average daughters from Curacao.
Returned the first, got married to a Beauty in the Florida keys. Then rescued the remainder of the missing daughters.

Got 11 romance points. The game was nice enough to correct this to 126 points in the grand list, but as I remember, had 127 at retirement.

Bug in Gov.

If you go back to see him before you rescue the daughter, there is a good chance that he will send you after `yet-another` Mendosa with `yet-another` daughter.

my last lost city map is was bug. My opinion: If somebady have 126 points and find traesure or gain rank or got romance pont, etc he will have more ponts than 126. in this weekend I will test it.

I haven't trainers or other something.

for all points not need found the lost city treasure, enough find all map piece.

1 fame point if you defeat one colonel mendoza
1 fame point if you carry back one kindnaped governor's daugheter

If you or anybody want I will send the saved game.

So it sounds like the "extra" point must be in romance, not in wealth--that is, you must have had a total of 11 even though there are only supposed to be 10 possible. I think I read on another board of somebody that got 11 points in romance. That didn't happen for me, though, even though I rescued 2 governor's daughters from Mendoza. Maybe it depends on the timing--do you have to return them both before you marry one of them?
