any good cursed ships?

I love using chains on the brits, I love using the chains on most nations actually(SP?) but only if there are 1 or 2 ships, not like 20 of em lol. And, is there anyway to enable the explosive bombs? i miss them :{

Try and steal some from the land-based forts. You can also turn off the realistic cannons mod in BuildSettings.h, but that also turns off a lot of other stuff. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

bombs and cannonballs are the most effective against masts, but chainshot is better to use when you don't have the time to aim properly. your gunners will aim higher when using chain, so it helps quite a bit. it's happened several times to me that a single shot knocked a mast over. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> never fails to bring a gobsmacked look to my face. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

the best example of that would be one i saw in a seabattle between the brits with their big fleet and a handful of pirates. i didn't really do anything myself, just watched the spectacle. a pirate brig had been dismasted, and i must say that it looked mighty awesome to see those british frigates and corvettes circling around it like sharks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

very true. one thing that i'll always remember would be a case where i tried to save a dutch trading fleet from some pirate warships. i didn't manage to save them, but one surrendered ship survived. i almost managed to save a second. of course, the pirates got it.
