Abilities screen crash

Hi folks.

Every time I access the Abilities screen for an officer aboard (but not captaining) one of my companion ships, I get a runtime error crash. Error.log just reads:

RUNTIME ERROR - file: interface\interface.c; line: 1599
no memory

I've not touched interface.c. Sometimes the crash comes on clicking 'Abilities', other times it happens as I start to scroll the list. But it seems universal. I'm going to try removing these officers from their ships and see if that allows me to assign their ability points, but that wouldn't be particularly tenable as a long term solution.

Follow-up: I can assign their abilities easily after removing them from the other ship.

That sounds... not awesome!

Perhaps you could try deleting the file named "options" from your main game folder?
You'll have to restore your personal preferences again afterwards.

No guarantees, but this sounds so random and unclear and doing this sometimes fixes such unexpected weirdness.
