A BUG?

Ahoy all privateers out there! I just needed to register because I just had to ask you all about something. I might have discovered a bug in the game, but I need someone else to test it out as well. It seems that if you start a NEW game as a Dutch of French character, in ADVENTURER level, starting in 1600, your ship is practically invincible in naval battles! It never gets any damage whatsoever. I haven't tried in the other 2 nationalities, but I will. Can someone else try it out too?? Or am I losing my pirate mind? I sat my Fluyt by a Spanish war galleon, and let it fire 16 gun broadsides into my hull, and nothing ever happened to my ship or crew. After 10 minutes, I sailed into a port, and checked for damage... NOTHING! 0% Sail, 0% hull, full crew. Tested as French too, and same thing. I'll test maybe by changing to another era, and see. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS??? I believe i read somewhere that u are invincible during any career for the first sea battle.

i think they did it so new players wouldnt get instantly toasted.

have u tried a second battle? or just 1?

I think it's up to Adventurer level, your first battle with any nationality your ship won't take any damage. That's the perfect opportunity to go after a named pirate first thing in the game, you can pick up a nicely outfitted ship right away and be on every countries good side at the same time.

Absolutely right. I went through the first battle, got a better ship, and challenged another enemy ship, and this time I was getting hurt! I just wish they put this info in the manual! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Anyway, that's it.
