1603 fatal error instalation/odd fix

I finaly got the game yesterday and was unable to install it came up with a "1603: fatal error during instalation" problem. So I poured over the known Pirates! forums and came accross only one suggestion (dotn remember now where it was) to start the instalation and cut the power to the computer before the fatal error message comes up and then start over. I thought what the hell I'll try it nothing to lose to my surprise it actualy worked! Dont ask me why or how I'm no computer expert but it did!
