Ok i managed to build my rep up to Matey but now when i leave redmond it decreases imediatley to neutral!

Ahoy thar Angel! Umm might be that u didnt finish a merchant mission and the day u go on board u fail the time limit so on that day u get bad rep.

i checked i've finished all my missions, except the one i was setting out to do.
and if i carry on my rep keeps going down, i got down to bloody terror for no reson at all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
There is a problem with "Reputation" and it is being worked on from reading the other threads. I myself have been all over the map when playing. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
There are a lot of ways to build up your reputation & completing missions within the time frame are one of them.Another way is to sink an enemy ship then " pick up " the survivors by sailing amongst them, or making a donation at one of the churches,just to name a few.

But there are also ways to decrease your reputation,for example, not paying your crew on time,killing a non combatant or even by not finishing a mission in the required time frame.

In your abilities there is " Iron Will " which helps a lot to battle the loss of reputation.

you got two choices:

1- you activate the cheat mode and simply put it back to matey (or even hero)

2- Save survivors and donations usually boost oh and talk to strangers! (watch out they might rob you blind)
 
If you want to activate the cheat code so that you get better Reputation do the following ;-

Open the BuildSettings.h which is located in the folder called Program in your POTC Folder & scroll down to MISCELLANEOUS SETTINGS,
Then scroll down to #define ENABLE_CHEATMODE , change the 0 to a 1,click save then play the game.

With cheats enabled in the Build Settings & using the NUM PAD Keys the following keys can be used ;-

0 = God Mode
4 = Level Up
5 = Fake Level Up
6 = 100,000 Gold & 10,000 Wealth
7 = Reputation
9 = Starts a French Invasion ( My Favorite <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> )

Avast thar!......... ya Bilge Rats, why dont yew be tellin him the whole truth an nuthin but the truth, while yews be at it. I hates it when someone be handin out half measures, might as well not be handin out at t'all

0 = God mode
1 = Be levelin up Officer Slot 1
2 = Be levelin up Officer Slot 2
3 = Be levelin up Officer Slot 3

the rest yew be knowin already.....be careful when yews be usin #4.....this be a cheat's...cheat! you level up but yew not be da'servin of it. Fake level up builds up certain attributes by distributing points, but doesn't bring up your overall Hit Points.....

As well thar be many ways tew be make'in yer startin character better then whats he supposed tew being, using the buildsettings.h file. You can give him better ships, you can give em better money, you can give em better levels....there is a whole range of things to change....

Anyway, my two and a half cents worth.......Inflation don't yew be knowin!!!!!!!!
 
I thought Fake Level Up did increase the HP. I thought the main differences between the real and the fake version, is that with a real level up, enemies become better too, but with a fake one, they don't. So with a fake, the only thing that changes, is the player. With a real one, the enemies change as well. However, there are pros to a real level up, because with a real level up, your blade won't damage so quickly anymore. You need a certain level for a certain blade. If your level is below that, you get a penalty in break-chance.

BTW: The #9 Rapid Raid (French attack) button doesn't require the cheatmode to be turned on, because it's not a cheat, but the opposite, making it harder for the player. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I go into an english fort and press it 5 times lol...
Its a full on war!!!!! seriously try it sometime it's great.

i have an idea for a cheat.
why not make one that makes a super fleat of french, spanish and dutch ships [ship rate depending on yours, so no 1st rates when your sailing a 5th rate!] and one to make a defending english fleet [or what ever country you belong to, like a Dutch fleet at the dutch colony if your dutch, and french at the french colony if your french...etc] for a real naval battle.
1 1/2 weeks from now im out of school and i can start searching for PotC again!
