I had to go back a bunch o' saves to fix this.

Maybe it is a bug. Ere's what happened. I went into the tavern on FdF, the quest started, "listen in" or "show the sign" activated, then the door was locked! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

If you get anchored at a nearby beach and walk into Isla Muelle everything is fine...
I had the same problem, got stuck every time, so I went to a beach and walked to town. It worked.

Maybe is b'cuz the fellows who kidnapped dah son kill him within a month....

Why where´s the problem? Just sail to Falaise directly after you got the quest, and that´s it. After getting Lucas ransomed, you can take all the time you want to return him.
