Recently I started playing POTC again after quiting for some years now, after finishing the game itself I restarted the game and installed Build mod 12.1 .
It needed a bit of getting used to, but one thing that I found strange is what I call a way to extremely fast raise your levels in comparison with the old game.
On the Dutch island behind the waterfall is a cave with loads of bad guys, if you keep killing them for a about 1 hour you have enough money (from loot and selling swords) to buy a frigate or larger and enough levels up to get the ability for 40% less storm damage.
Then find yourself a storm preferably on the ocean and set time to x30 without using sails untill your ship almost sinks and then repeat the above again to repair your ship again.
Is this normal? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />
Also I noticed that eventhough I use bombs as ammo it takes ages to sink ships, I agree that taking on 2 battleships, 3 frigates and 1 corvette and kill them all without getting hit once was unrealistic (the original game with most stats at 10), but I believe that if I hit a ship with a full load of bombs time and time again it should take more damage then it does now.

I do like the idea of various grades of degradation for the swords and guns you loot (pity a weapon doesnt get damaged once you use it, but thats another story), but where can I "repair" my gun, my sword I know and use him a whole lot, but havent found a man/woman who can repair my gun.
Apart from these 2 comments I have the Mod Build 12.1 is really cool and will probably continiue playing longer then I would normally do.
