Tortuga - Two Treasures

I just bought what I assume is the full version ($40 @ Frys Electronics) of this game yesterday. I did install it but have not started it yet (also got Beyond Divinity - also loaded but not started). Thought I would come over here to checkout reviews & look for patches and updates, but it looks & sounds like I wasted my money. I found one site that said there are <u><!--coloro:#CC0000--><span style="color:#CC0000"><!--/coloro-->3<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></u> versions of this game out.

1. full version with a map or something avail. @ Best Buy ONLY.
2. full version W/ no extras @ Frys ONLY.
3. a mini version @ all other locations.

I knew NOTHING of this game untill I saw it on the shelf. I was debating between this and another WW2 combat sim for less money. I doubt they would take it back after being opened & installed. It would cost me half of it for gas to take it back anyhow. Given the fact that you can ignore the wind (absurd, but true), some other points bother me...<ul><li>My ship might be trailing smoke like the Space Shuttle, be she takes no more damage.</li><li>I take damage from a sloop that can't possibly have me in range of her guns.</li><li>I have an infinite amount of balls (stop snickering).</li><li>A raking shot does no more damage than a broadside.</li><li>The cut scenes stink to high heaven.</li><li>The history is all wrong.</li><li>This game sucks swamp water.</li></ul>Pardon me, but I have to purge the bilges of this poor excuse for a pirate game.

You could still try it and than delete! Even a lot of us think it stinks,
you might think it does not?
They could'nt have paid those Programmers very much or they're still learning?

Aye, sadly this one left a bad taste in everyones mouth I'm thinkin'. I have it, but still haven't tried it. Been afraid to because of all the horrible reviews.
