Tips atacking Greenford

Can anyone give me some tips atacking the Greenford. I tryed many times to defeat the fort but it's too strong... Capture yourself a Battleship. With that, you can "sail to" the fort and just blast some broadsides into it, they don´t stand a chance. Using a frigate works as well, be sure to have it equipped with culverines, and stay just out of the bay. The culverines can shoot over that distance, you just need to float off shore and fire a couple of broadsides. As soo n as the fort is down to 50%, sail close, and you´re able to land.

I attacked with a Frigate, Battleship and a ManoWar. I used bombs and targeted the fort cannon only. The fort fell fairly quickly.

I took one MOW with about 10k bombs, np

Target in first person, aim for the tops of the walls (sometimes you have to aim without the reticle being red). That will help you take out the cannons quicker. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" />

Another thing is to have "Landing Party" capability which you can assign to your other ships - when you land, you'll outnumber the soldiers in the fort, and the rest of the battle is a cakewalk! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
