Those `multi-coloured` skulls

Ive been sailing round the gaff keeping my eye out for those `multi-coloured` skulls, and i have about 3 or 4 now. Does anyone know what they do, if anything?

Maybe they can be the start of a new mod quest, which can only start once youve got all of them (btw, how many are there?)

How about when you give one to an officer it makes them invincible? Or at least give them some kind of boost?
In any case, i will find them all if it kills me!

I think there are four. And yes, there is definitely a way to make it so when you collect them all and satisfy some other kinds of parameters, you can then start off on a new side quest...
