Taking over HUGE spanish cities

Avast ye all,

I'm new on this forum, and i've been playing "Pirates!" for about two months now, and there are some tips I want to shar with all of you.

Ever noticed those rich spanish towns have garrisons of like 200 - 800 guys? Well, I've figured out a way to take over them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

1. Capture a few Galleons. 3-5 will be enough

2. Go from Island to Island recruiting men. With so many ships, you'll be able to carry enough food for all of them.

3. Now, anchor near the city and travel on foot to the town. When a box will show up asking you what you want to do. If you have 100 or so more men then the town garrison, click attack.

You should be taken to the top of the wall, where you'll have to defeat the cap'n of guard.

Hey, I have a question,

How can I change my signature & stuff on this forum?

At very top O' forum ye will see MY Controls,click on that then look at left side O' contol panel an ye will see Edit Signatures,click on that an ye can add yer signature from a host site <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Well, any garrison under 500 is defeatable with the stick-men. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I've sacked nearly every spanish city on the map at least once. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I've sacked every Spanish City atleast twice and now I am on my way around the Carribean one more time hunting I long list on Mendozzas and Raymondo with a couple of bounties sprinkled in for spice. I have not lost a single land battle. If you let the defending force come to you you can setup the battlefield so your Buccaneers can use the muskets to you advantage. Targets in open fields, then jump them with pirates waiting in the trees with cover so you only take 5% to 10% damage.

My time in da land lubber army taught me ambush tactics....seems very piratish.
