Troublesome Corsair
To keep your officers from dying during boarding, tell them to sit out the next boarding. I find on Swashbuckler skill that they always seem to die. Make sure your character is up on melee first of course. Also don't be cheep with the weapons locker. Put some nice swords and firearms in to make your crew way better during boarding operations. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

There are some useful books you can get.
Such as "Boelen Algebra". And "Morgan's Mast Mashing". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />
 
ooh, yes, i like my books. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> one of them has a too long text though. it doesn't fit in the info screen. it's the one based on my spammage. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> it would fit if the empty bits would be removed.

wait, it should increase your luck!

all i know is that i have all the books in the game, but i carry only the ones that increase my skills ^^
when i get full points in all my skills, i will leave my books with my best friend and officer, Dr Maturin (in the game, not our matey here in the site :p)

yup. there was also one on the importance of avoiding knotted pine decks when having a pegleg and things like that.
