Stupid cormorant and passengers

Fluen

Freebooter
This is two questions.

First, I recently found a stupid cormorant in a box. The item text says it has gotten itself trapped there and finding it will burden me. But how will it burden me? I could sell the damn thing to the local merchant. Who wants to buy a dead bird? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Second, how many passengers can one have with the new builds (both 12 and 13)? In the original version there was a conflict so each ship could apparently take four officers (one captain and three officers), but the player couldn't have more than a total of eight passengers/officers. Has this changed?

Its only superstition, driving seamen to think a dead bird in ya locker means bad luck. Never got into trouble with a dead bird in the cargo.

At one time, I had eight passengers on my list, along with 3 other ships full of officers.

That was in 13 full, dunno about previous or later builds.

Having it in your inventory changes three things.

Your fencing ability goes up 2 points, which is good!

Now for the burden part, it decreases your Leadership and Luck by 2 points each.

You aren't supposed to be able to sell the cormorant, actually. In Build 13 you can trade the thing with the Greenford Apothecary for some "medical items".
*Bursts out in an evil maniacal laugh*

As far as the amount of passengers: I'm not sure on the exact maximum, but it HAS been increased quite a bit in the modpack.

a more creative method of disposing of the blasted thing is placing it on a corpse you loot, or put it in a chest.

Hehe. But then you don't get to trade it for the "medical items". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

i never really cared about those. the health boost is pretty minimal when you're at a high level.

But they're funny. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
