Stuck below and stuff

I just boraded a pirate ship killed all on deck and gone below to cabin. Only me and my crew in cabin and I cant get out. I have pressed enter by door and got the open quick icon to leave cabin. Also pressed space when lock icon showed by door and I cant get out. I have had this a few times now.

Also when I press E to sheath sword, it dont sheath some times.

I cant get the Blacksmith in Redmond to repair my sword.

I am useing Build mod 13.

Can someone help please.
 
I know how that stuck-in-cabin bug gets caused. Will be fixed soon.

If your sword doesn't sheath, do you have a sword equipped at all? You can try pressing the Quick-Equip button F, then try sheathing again.

Reparing your blade is paid out of your personal wealth. If you don't have enough personal wealth (which is NOT the regular crew money), the blacksmith won't repair.

Hate to be a pain in the ass but unless I play the game with out the mod, I cant play the game so any idea when the bug will get sorted ?

When you say personal weath umm, I have been down in the dungeons killing. With the money I lotted from the bodys, Is that personal weath ? If so I got a lot.
BTW I was surprised to get a reply as I thought this forum might be dead, so thank you for fast reply.
I hate playing a game that dont have a forum too lolz.

Personal wealth is the amount of money in the F2>Character menu. The money you loot from people is not personal wealth. You get personal wealth from the land you can own by joining a country's nation. If you want to pay the blacksmith from your regular wealth, open up PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h and set BLACKSMITH_PAY_OUT_WEALTH to 0.

The Pirates of the Caribbean forums are far from dead. We are still working on modding it and we're getting pretty close to releasing a Build 13. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

HAHAHA nice character there matey, to bad u got no land. Yeah this forum is more then alive!
 
To SuoiveD: Did you know Petros added a character to the modpack that deliberately looks like Lara Croft? The modelname is "50LCroft" and she's available from pirate tailor's shops.

Thought I had build 13 but I see from reading your site its the build you will releas as build 13 when you iron out the bugs.

I see from the map in build mod not the same as with out mod.
With the mod

I take it the true north is as on pic 2 the arrow on compass ?

Any way the pic's there for any one who dont have and would like to print out map.

Also wondering if there a way in which we can have on map, so we know which nation owns which isla, as in real life you would get this info from hear say even if not upto date.
 
I have made a new modpack update available from the Post Build 12 Modpack thread, including the most recent fixes, so you can go and test it. Hope it works more-or-less OK.

To pat blacksmiths with your regular money, open up PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h and set BLACKSMITH_PAY_OUT_WEALTH to 0. Alternatively, try to get personal wealth by enlisting into a nation's service.

New islands have been added to the modpack, so the map for the original game and for Post Build 12 are different. The compass remains a problem. We have tried fixing it over and over again, but it seems whatever we do, it remains not pointing North. It's just plain crazy. :wacko

You can change the map texture files and add the nation names onto it, if you like. Also: If you sail around on the worldmap and visit a port, a flag will be added to that port next time you get onto the worldmap that shows you to what nation that port belongs. You first have to visit that port though, otherwise it won't show up.

I can't access it until the Nigel Blythe Dialogue is fixed on QC , but yes I know about it.
 
That bug should be fixed in the update I released yesterday. Please check that... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

What, the compass is still misaligned?? Now that IS crazy for sure!

IIRC installing one of the new, turned windrose.gm models AFTER installing the modpack fixes that, right? Maybe it is necessary to install windrose.gm seperately after all other files, or after a first gamestart or intitialization or whatever.

No logic in that hypothesis but the empiric evidence suggest as much <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
I think that there is one compass GM file that IS correct, but because people have been using different versions, they might've been using different GM files. Also: With installing new versions, the old files might get overwritten again. Or they might not get overwritten, because they weren't in the update. So all the confusion might be due to compatibility issues.

To CCC: Can you please send me your original fixed GM file? This time, I am going to check for myself if it points North and I won't be listening to what anyone else says anymore. If it points North for me, it will point North for everyone. This time I want to be sure it works, so compatibility won't be an issue anymore.
