strange things

I just bought the new Pirates (loved the orirginal on the C64) and everty thing seemed to work fine. After playing for a while everything sudenly freezed. I couldn't do anything, the music just keeps screaming the last note it played. The only thing I could do was reset my computer.

I hoped it would be a one time event but after several hours of game play I have experienced the same phenomena several times:
- It can happen after 5 minutes of playing or after 3 hours of playing
- It always happens in a town, ussually in the tavern and sometimes at the shipwright.

I read some things about my graphics card but I'm not sure... I have the latest ATI driver as well as the latest Creative driver....

My system:
Pentium 4 3.4Ghz
1Gb Memory
Asus Radeon 9600 SE 128Mb
Soundblaster Live! 5.1

my solution

I read some of the other 'crash related' posts and they suggested installing the omega driver (www.omegadrivers.net). And it workes!!! Have been playing for about 10 hours over the last couple of days and had no problems whatsoever.
