Named after one of literary's famous pricks, this is certainly my favourite "funny book" character.
Invented by Carl Barks (who also came up with Duckburg and many of its inhabitants) for a single-use Christmas story.
That sure played out differently than he originally would've thought!
Then the character got picked up by my favourite comic book artist, Don Rosa.
He took it quite seriously, while inserting incredible humour along the way as well.
And, in unfortunately true Disney fashion, his enthusiasm turned into quite some disillusionment.
But still, the results that he graced us with are certainly worth their while.
He went as far as writing a true history for the character,
which includes plenty of actual historical events and realistic character development.
Some real heart-warming and heart-breaking emotion to be found in here.
This was SO GOOD that a musician decided to write and record music for it:
Get this... music for A COMIC BOOK SERIES!
There isn't an accompanying series or movie at all.
DuckTales isn't it.
