Sails & Flags

Can anyone make sails and flags to go into the game.would like to use My flag and sails in the pirate section of the game.

hey going to give them a try...were do i put them or do I just unzip and the file goes were it belongs...got an update to those sails..I will see if i can get them to upload to you.[attachment=1016:BlackHawk_my_sails.GIF]

I've reuploaded updated sails.

Basically, they go to /RESOURCE/TEXTURES/SHIPS/ subdirectory.

Before you copy them, check the number of the highest custom pirate sail - look for <i>sail_whole_black_pirateXX.tga.tx</i> and note the number. Number your sails have should be one higher than the highest number - if it's 15, then change the number in your sails' filename from 17 to 16. Now you can copy your sails.

Now you need to tell the game that there's extra set of sails it can use. To do that, go to PROGRAM subdirectory and open <i>internalsettings.h</i> file and increase the number of the white, red and black custom sails by one.

How do i change a Rar file to a tga.tx file..this is all new to me have never done anything like this before...I am a Computer Dummy... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> ...also can it be used to change a flag on my ships.

A .rar is a compressed file (like a .zip file), if you don't have winrar you need to download it...

The file BlackHawk_flagall.zip with your flag instead those two hawks is on PA! PotC FTP (address, username and password are <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10288" target="_blank">here</a>). Unzip it to RESOURCE\Textures directory, overwriting the one which exists there.
