Sail mod problems with Build 14 Alpha 7

Hi everyone,

I have installed Build Alpha 7 this morning (and it seems it works <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />) , and when i play no sail it's seen.
I go into the ship interface and try to change the sail ;

First, the default sail is one with CHE GUEVARA face (i like that guy but not on my sails)
Second, A lot of sail are not present and cannot be seen (weathered, plain white, and some others sails, no logos can be put on them)
Third, the consequence it's that no ship i'am encounter have sail raised but they can sail anyway.

Where it's the files and the parameters i have to change to restore old sail mod that was working in Build 14 Alpha 6 and before?
That's very disturbing and no funny to play like that...

I solved my problem with a little effort; i have rename some sail tga.tx files.
Now the sails are seen on the ships and the game seem to work.

I have a similar problem - but it seems to be limited to certain ships only.

When on my "RN 16 Gun Brig" I only see one mast, which can raise and lower sails. If it is only a display bug, it also affects gameplay because I noticed that the Brig was as slow as if missing the other mast (and it is fully repaired). Other RN 16 Gun Brigs (owned by pirates) are much faster than mine.

So this seems to be a bug. How did you fix yours and which ship was affected for you?

Edit: There seems also to be a problem with the capturing of surrendered ships - maybe this is connected to the sails problem: I shot another 16 Gun Brig down to pieces and it surrendered (had only the back mast left). When capturing the ship (Swap Ships), it had full sail and hull points, but still the graphic showed only the back mast. Because it is at full health it's impossible to repair the ship, thus repair the speed and the graphic of the ship. Very very strange. Does it also happen with other ships?

In fact, it was due that the weathered textures was not present or misnamed into the textures\ships\ directory or subdirectory.
I haved copy some files and renamed other to set them has wished by the game and now it run well.

When i started the game, the french squadron and all the other ships haven't sails, but all of them were able to move.
Now all ships have sails.

CPT O. BLOOD, could you (or anyone who knows it too) tell me which files you copied and/or renamed?
Every ship I met so far (on Build 14a7) only has masts but no sails, that looks very weird <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
My second problem is the following:
Since I didn't see sails, I tried to choose others, I chose the Che Guevara sails, but then the game crashed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
I ran engine.exe again, and in the 'choose sails' menu, the Guevara sails are gone???
If anyone could help me with either of my problems, thank you very much <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The problem with sails is probably connected with improper work of the installer. All sails in Build Alpha 7 should be moved into RESOURCE\Textures\Ships\Sails\ directory. Moreover, substantial amount of them should be renamed:

I have done all things Pirate_kk told me to do (took quite a while ), all in the right order,
