Russian version already include english language. if you have russian CD go to SeaDogs3\RESOURCE\INI\texts\language.ini and change

Ver. 0.99, which released, completely on english, except voices. In following versions texts on english, but names on russian.
In 2 months Akella will be fixed multiple bugs.

i did as jack said and the game is now in english, but i have got a problem: if i try to talk to the street merchants, they say nothing and if i talk to random ppl, they say nothing and i cant leave the conversation and i have to close the game by ctrl+alt+del. if you can help me then pls reply.

p.s. i tried the patch but that turns things worse, movement settings aren't working properly and if i start a new game, i have the same conversation prob with the messenger who brings a letter from father and i have to close the game.

This worked in version 1.03. In following versions files where must be english texts empty. Extract files from archive in folder with game. This files from patch 1.1. The Interface windows will be in english, but dialogues still empty in ver. 1.1.1. File dialogsource.txt in english, but why doesn't work I don't know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> That is to say you can sail, get experience, sink the naves and so on, but doesn't can to take and execute quests. I have been playing <b>Корсары 3</b> [Age of Pirates] for the last month or so, and can confirm the game is FANTASTIC, 80% better than POTC even with all the audio in Russian [which the wife likes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> - she is Russian].

I'm currently playing version 1.1 in English!!!!!.

First of all, there are TWO v1.1 patches, If you had downloaded v1.1r then English is not supported, obviously the “r”, standing for Russian.

The one you need is: k3_patch_1_1.zip [Corsairs 3 v1.1] it’s about 25MB, and I have provided the link below:

OK, I would recommend you do a fresh install back to v0.99 and then install v1.1, after that you will then need to do the following:

1. Make sure the “RESOURCE” folder is not read only!! [if it is change it] <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />
2. Open in notepad: RESOURCE \ INI \ fonts.ini.
3. In this file change every entry of: "Texture = fonts\interface normal fonts rus.tga" to: "Texture = fonts\interface normal fonts.tga"
4. Then save the file.
5. Open in notepad: RESOURCE \ INI \ texts \ language.ini, and change the default language from Russian to English. Just add the “;” to the beginning of the Russian line and remove the “;” from the English line. Please see below:

Sorry for the lack of response…been working out of town. I love your screenshots <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I’ve just uploaded a few myself, not as exciting as yours though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

As for the no-promotions bug…I did try in v1.1, I could get so far then the game would crash. I believe this has been fixed in v1.11, only problem here its all in Russian. No more English releases until European release.

If I was Akella I would want to maximise my publicity on the back of “Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest”. This is due for general release at cinemas from July 7th 2006. I hope I’m wrong as I would really like to play the FULL game before the film comes out. There are still a lot of bugs in the version I’m playing but I’m still having fun <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />. My biggest issue is the serious lack of NPC interaction / quests…there are none, and I’m still unable to update my spyglass or sword etc etc…

Is there a way to order the Russian AOP. I'm in Ireland, and in general what can be got in the UK can be ordered from here. So if anyone in the UK has it, could you advise on ordering it. Is it possible, and if so, is it reasonably affordable? Can things be bought and sold as it stands in English?

I gues you could buy it from e russian site(sorry my copy was sent to me by a friend in russia). Other than that you could try ebay or amazon or the illegal way(which is not preffered).

My copy was given to me by my sister-in-law who lives in St. Petersburg, Russia. As my wife is Russian, I will ask to see how much it costs [in USD] and if any of her friends are coming to UK in the coming weeks.

Please bear-in-mind, that by the time you do get a copy and configured it to English Text [explanation above] you will only be able to play to v1.1 , which is still buggy [game will install to v0.99]. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />

Hi all, first of all i want to thank you for explaining how to install this translation, it was very usefull to me, but still i have a great problem... I use the 1.4 version, because 1.1 doesn't work to me, but my problem with the translation is that the logbook is completely messed up... There aren't written the names, i mean it's like this:

Mission: Go to and take a load of . Then bring it to .

There are missing the names... And often there are missing also in the dialogues, so I can't do any missions... Out of some that are written... there are other little bugs, but they don't make it unplayable as this one... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

I tried also 1.3 version, same problem... Now is it just me having this problem or is the translation for 1.1 only?

so can you se the names of the characters

I had this file already... Still the problem remains.... I can't see any names in the logbook, islands, people, i can't accomplish any missions like that...

Dany it's easier to download the super mod it also has everything that the K3 Mod has and a lot more and no need to translate anything.
