I was sailing on my way to get Danniel from the church on isla murra. All of a sudden i had a reputation decrease of -20X2 from hero to neutral. can anyone give a clue about what happened?

Also whats everyone's opinion on their favourite ship? I have 2 Pinnacles (captured) but i dont really like them..they're too slow. Whats peoples opinion? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Well, it depends on how you play the game - if you want to board ships, a faster one is best - Xebecs are pretty fast - I like the CT because it has a nice capacity...

Warships are usually nice, compare stats in speed and radius for the corvette and you'll see it's also a very nice speedy ship. Later when you want more men and more firepower to take out forts or whatever, you can get a bigger ship, but when you just want to take ships, it's best to have a smaller speedier one.

I used to sail with a Xebec CT as my flagship, and a MOW as my "cargo ship" that followed me. I could then plunder ships at will, keep their cargo and transfer it to the MOW, and continue sailing about without heading back to port unless I was damaged in a battle and need repairs...

Your reputation may have dipped because you perhaps took out a loan and did not repay it in a timely fashion?

Same thing happened to me - from 'Matey' to 'Swindler'
Now i cant buy in stores, get my ship repaired at the shipyard, or be respected. How do i get my Rep up again?

the Corvette i think is the best ship. It has decent firepower and is very fast, good for boarding other ships.

<b>Cpt. Jack Sparrow, </b>go out into the jungles and save a few fair maidens who are beset by rapers (when you find a place where you encounter them, just keep going back to the same place) - your rep will go up in no time at all! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

I did find one thing out about rep. I may be wrong, but it happened to me and I tested it quite a few times in different ways. I was at Hero and continually getting rep boosts from rescuing survivors, damsels in distress, etc. Well, I went to report a mission complete to the governor of Douwesan and when I got my rep bonus, my rep shot all the way down to Horror. I had saved just before talking to the gov though, so I reloaded, went out and sunk a pirate ship, saved the survivors, and watched my rep go up and then shoot down to Horror once more. I tested this in various ways and it's my belief that rep can only go up so far and then it bottoms out. So I've gotten into the habit of killing captives now and then just to keep my rep from messing up.

Fave ship combo: Xebec CT (Pirate) as flagship and two Manowar MM (Pirate) as cargo and crew vessels. Always keep a slot open for capturing decent sized ships I can sell. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
