Random crashes

Hello, I have been experiancing(SP) quite a few crashes of late. I have build mod 13 final installed. it usally happens when I am at sea, when I am just sailing. any ideas what it could be or how I can fix it?
 
then there's something fishy going on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> and it's not the ocean.
 
i know i said that i wouldnt talk about that problem anymore...but maybe you have the same horrible problem i did...could you explain it a little more please...?
 
well, sometimes when I finish a battle, or go to the ship view after leaving a town it will crash (not all the time or at a certain time in the game either) thats all I'v really taken into account, I was thinking it may be my computer...but I doubt it, cause I have like 1.81 Gigs of ram, a graphics card that can play world of wacraft in high detail. The only thing is my internet is a little slow, but that shouldent affect POTC

edit:also just now I won a battle and went to the sea map and it crashed
 
If there is any reason to assum your cargo hold might be full, try dumping some cargo before going to the worldmap. The game seems to have a problem with completely filled cargo holds. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
 
now I am starting a new game and it wont even let me get off of the bleeding island >.< What is hapening?!? I am kinda getting a little mad lol
 
thats exactly my problem and pieter i did exactly what you told him and it didnt help me so i decided it was only my disc...but now i see that someone else has my same problem so it cant just be me...

actually pieter to be honest...i dont load as much cargo into my ship as i used to...and it helped a little with the seas....but not really....the jester has my same problem...and i hate it just like he does

but now my problem is mostly after i end a big battle that took me forever to win and i get a lot of awesome ships....
and also whenever i go from port to ship and then to sea.....it happens at both sopts but mostly when i go to sea.....any reasons why

i really want to fix this....and i know the jester does too..
 
Don't know if this will help you any, but I was experiencing crash problems similar to what you are describing that seem to have gone away when I reduced the number of save files I was keeping and the number of passengers I was dragging around with me. I can't point to any specific cause, but since doing those things my game has been very stable in terms of CTD's.
 
yah, I had to uninstall the whole game, I couldent even leave any ports because it was crashing, I couldent go to the sea map it crashed, also I did what you said, I emptyed out my cargo, all I had where cannon ammo, and just over half of the crew.
 
Crew shouldn't be a problem, but there IS a bug with cargo holds somewhere. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
See you passengers list: There could be a LOT of passengers there. Some are officers, some are prisoners. Try to only have as many officers as you need and try to get rid of your prisoners as soon as you can.
