Solved Question about warfare

Hi! First of all what a wonderfu game you Guys created.

While I was doing Some story line and freeplay I decided to start a new free play as the americans in de Napoleonic era as a naval officer, I want to play through the ranks with their Ships. When I look at relations I see they are not at war with any but the pirates.

Is it possible to start wars when you play naval officer?

Is it possible to change something in a file to make an all out war as the americans and so yes in what file do I need to look and change?

You can not start wars. But international relations can change randomly. Look for a questbook entry "Turbulent Times", then check the relations table or ask a tavern keeper for news. A nation may have declared war on another, or made peace with someone with whom it was previously at war.

You could try starting between 1812 and 1815. That's the War of 1812 which means America and Britain will be at war.

Beyond that, download the attached file into your "PROGRAM" folder. Either load a savegame or start a new game. Press F12. You should see a message on screen, "Executed Console". And everyone should be hostile to America.

The lines in that file which make nations hostile to America are:

    SetNationRelationBoth(ENGLAND, AMERICA,    RELATION_ENEMY);
    SetNationRelationBoth(FRANCE, AMERICA,    RELATION_ENEMY);
    SetNationRelationBoth(SPAIN, AMERICA,    RELATION_ENEMY);
    SetNationRelationBoth(HOLLAND, AMERICA,    RELATION_ENEMY);
    SetNationRelationBoth(PORTUGAL, AMERICA, RELATION_ENEMY);

So if you don't want everyone hostile, delete the ones you don't want before you press F12.

Did the file, Loaded my american save. Had only Britain as friends So I would have Some other ports to sail in under the american Flag, came in a battle with some portugues, Now britain is also an enemy hahaha
