Question about ships and nationalities

Hey guys,

This has probably been posted before but I am having no luck with searching the boards. Is there a standard difference other than skins for each nation's ship? For example, english sloops (or rather all english ships in general) are faster but french sloops (french ships in general) have more cargo space or does it vary from ship to ship?

Also, just wanted to thank those responsible for the build. I bought this game when it first came out because the original seadogs was awesome. I was disappointed with POTC because they left out the option to join and do quests for all the nations among other things , but the buid makes the game ten times better!

I don't know if every ship from any nation is better in speed, cargo, cannons, sails or crew then another. But there are differences between the nations there ships exept the skin.

Also in the download section there was a ship list with info about every ship in every nation. So you could choose the best one. There is a minor differences between the ships specification depend in their nationallty , like as you said english ships are faster but less cargo space and crew while spanish ships have more crgo space and crew but slower and so on .... In the builds you can find the fastest ships of all types in the pirate island QC .
