Quest reward ship?

I remember reading about a ship someone added to the build that was only available from a quest, but I cant remember the quest or the ship name <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
I tried searching and browsing through a bunch of the threads but I cant find it again.
If this rings a bell with anyone can you please post the details as I was very interested in obtaining this ship during play (not as a starter ship).

wouldbe talk'n about the Mephesto, ur the black Pearl <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
The Mefisto is a ship you get from a side quest. But you could be talking about the Privateer that is only available in the "Sink/Capture the English Pirate off Falaise de Fleur" quest and the "Nigel Blythe" quest. However, that ship is also encountered at sea as pirate ship occasionally.

I added the ship you get from the Pirate off of FdF, and/or the Nigel Blythe quest.
It is the Pirate Corvette.

It is a quest ship and not available anywhere else in the game, not at shipyards or open waters.

I am curious now about the mephisto though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
oh, the mephisto looks pretty awsome! black, with lots of red decorations on it, death as a figure head and two devil's horns on the stern of the ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" /> it looks really evil!
 
i got a question, that new black pearl that was added..... is there a added side quest that u have to do to get that ship???
 
You can't actually get the new Black Pearl in the game, because we didn't replace the old one yet. If you want to use her, you'll have to do some cheating, such as editing PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h and setting "theBlackPearl" as one of the starting ship options.

o alright lol thats what i did, and i also made it so i can buy the ship but not encounter it so i will be the only one who has one or more of them in my fleet.

i often use the Black Pearl, and i think im going to replace the main Quest ship with it....more fun..
i'll do that as soon as the updates start slowing down...<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />...so that i dont end up getting half way through the game and finding that there's a new update, downloading it, starting a new game, nearing the end, then discovering there's another update..etc

as for the Mephisto, i like it, but the Black Pearl is better. i would have both, but im worried about my officers sinking in the mephisto, since their sailing skills are not very good, considering ive got them up to 10 in everything. it takes the Player's skills to maintain a ship like that....too delicate for an NPC officer...

also, if you decide to go after the Mephisto, i suggest you dont take any ships with you [as in your NPC captains...the fleet you command], as they dont understand that you want it afloat. they just fire at an enemy. they dont care whether you want it as a prize or not...

yea thats y i never have other ships with me because they act stupid, they dont follow u that well and if they do they are really far away. they attack like crazy when u dont want a ship sunk and if u have alot of them with u by the time u tell them all to sail away they already sunk all the ships in the battle..... gets annoying.
 
lol...would you believe they nearly sunk the Pearl? i was going crazy! my Corvette was so fast that every few seconds i had to do the sail to thing to get out of the way of Khael Roa island, and by the time i got to a point where i had some sort of control ever the ship, my fleet had nearly destroyed the new pearl! my MOW wasn't shooting much, since it was slow and the BP just kept going out of it's firing arcs. the real headache was my 74 Gunner....it just kept pounding the pearl, along with the MOW occasionally putting in a devistating shot.....and i had used the orb so that i could board it, so that was part fo what made it so week. i had to activate God Mode just to get back to Redmond without it sinking! funnily enough, the whole time the battle was going, i kept quoting Jack Sparrow "Stop blowin' 'oles in my ship!" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> . it was accidental. i wasn't quoting him deliberately. it just came out because of my annoyance!

yes, i have that too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i keep saying ARGH. saying that just feels so good. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> amongst that many other lines of course.
