Hi, I am the 9tailedfoxdragon. It has been awhile due to Assassins Creed black flag, I finally finished it but I' am missing more plundering, I saw the Mod DB recruitment and here I am. My specs are:

Toshiba
Windows 10
Satellite C55-B
Intel Core i3-4005U CPU@ 1.70 Ghz
6 GB ram
64-bit operating system, x64 processor
Soundcard: Onboard
graphics card
Monitor: generic PNP
Intel HD graphics Family
 
Ahoy @9tailedfoxdragon, that would certainly be a good lower end test system. When you get a chance, could you please write up a quick review of the latest Hearts of Oak demo, and any problems that you encounter on your system and post it here, thanks!
 
Here is my experience so far, it looks really cool. It actually runs decently on my computer.There is some weird stuff with the flags spasming out. Also please take a look at the trees, I don't know what it is called but the bottoms of the trees disappear. Sometimes the ground grasses look like they levitate especially when you're looking on the hill. Another thing is that there is grass at the bottom of the water. the ship that is there is either to high a draft( i think thats what the bottom of the ship is called) or th bouyancy is off. Also is there an intro for the game as there is music for 5 seconds and it cuts off to the menu.Anyways, the ship is very static, it doesn't turn when it should, you can only fire from one side of a broadside.The long thing flagis missing a few pieces here and there. For me the game runs great on fantastic

Are you basing that on the white line on her hull? She could simply be not fully loaded?

Very true; I noticed that too last month. :yes
 
I am basing it from overall height as my character for now ,is able to breathe underwater, and from that point of view, the bottom of the boat met with the ground

You mean the ship is too deep in the water compared to the actual water depth there?
As in: She's just about touching the sea bottom?
 
Then that has nothing to do with buoyancy, nor with the ship model itself.
That is purely "a ship that size should not be in that geographical location".

Since it is just a placeholder island anyway, that should be nothing to worry about.
Though "running aground in shallow water" is definitely something I'd like to see in the final game.
 
Thanks for the writeup mate, I have added you as a provisional QA tester, your next review should be placed in the appropriate release thread in the development forum. The next demo should be out within a couple of weeks, in the meantime, have a look around.

As for only one side firing during a broadside, I had no issue firing both :

Absolutely! That would make careening possible, something nautical games have been missing from the very beginning.
 
Thanks for adding me, also I wanna say the textures and stuff remind me of Gary's mod.There are a few skin issues here and their especially at the top of the head where it splits
 
The ship does turn very slowly, so you have to plan your moves well in advance.
 
@9tailedfoxdragon, please adjust your signature and make it smaller mate, scrolling through my entire monitor+ to get past it is a bit much.
 
It's better, yes, thanks mate. Your flag is still a bit big, an image editor like Paint or Paint.net will easily resize it for you. As for the shanty mate, you can still have that in your sig, but please use a spoiler BBCode tag to hide it, that way it is not seen unless someone actually wants to read it.
