Proposed Collaboration with The Pirate Nation

One of the captains of The Pirate Nation on Facebook wrote this:

I have to admit, I wish I was a little more tech savvy. I'd build a website for this group, hire a crew to keep it fit and sailing smooth, just so we wouldn't have to put up with the FB Royal Navy. lol
I have thought about other media sites, and have created pilot groups on them. But they don't have the draw or reach that FB has.
Maybe once I get things settled and stabilized out here, I can find the time to build something a little more.

I believe we here are in a perfect position to help out.
And after getting a completely innocent comment of mine flagged as not okay,
it seems blatantly clear a workaround to Facebook's sensitivities would be in order.

Therefore I took the liberty of setting up this subforum; in hopes we can take it from here.
And then... see what happens.

Agreed, Facebook doesn't seem very fitting for such projects in the long run.
