Ah! So I did get to meet you on here before. I didn't quite remember anymore.Thank you for the Welcome Pieter
Modeling help is always welcome.I can help if need be with Graphics, 3D models and Exporting stuff from Maya..if that is still an issue. As you know, I did original modding on Sea Dogs and then POTC, released the Tools Akella sent me to the community back then. And made a couple of tutorials which I think only survive in the old Wiki that Verruckt made for community.
That's good to know. I reckon we should post it all on our own new wiki then: http://wiki.piratesahoy.netFirst retexturing tutorial (just before Akella released the TX converter) - http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=RetexturingTutorial&v=5le
Tools Page - http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=ModdingTools&v=10ku
And Walk File Tutorial matching the POTCWalk Tool Scheffnow and I made for walk files - http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=UnderstandingAndMakingShipWalkFiles&v=6b6
Items Locators tutorial - http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=ItemsLocators&v=u3k
Much other Original Work from many old Modders can be found here: http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=PageIndex&v=17pe
I do suggest, if not done already, to plunder this info as is required, because that Wiki and Domain is about to Expire.
I reckon our Davy Jones might be considered a fully new character model, even though I believe it's based on the model from At World's End. We've had several people who did character modifying, most notably High Sea Lass, Sir Christopher Mings and Damski62. Damkski62 is still active every now and then, but I haven't heard in a long time from the other two.Say has anyone made/exported any brand new Characters? (I was working on that aspect before I left).

The old information still holds a lot of value, especially if it's updated for the latest versions.

That was all pretty much before my time. The first Build I played was Build 11 (10 wouldn't work on Euro versions) and then I joined just before the release of Build 12, if I recall. Some of it is still fresh in my mind maybe it will help you remember. I was one of the original founders of the PMT (POTC Modding Team), that albeit worked to make a Conversion project also contributed to the Build by releasing version 11 here :

We try to credit everyone we can. I hope we've added all the old-time modders to our "Modders" usergroup. But you are quite right, much time has passed, and modders come and go with time it has always been like that. Yet that also makes it to keep records of people's contributions always. It serves not only to inform new players that become modders but also invites older modders to come back.
You'd definitly be welcome to post things on our Wiki. We've only recently gotten it and haven't made much use of it yet.Yes feel free to take what you need, actually since it is a Wiki, I may even add some there myself, it does not seem to have many tutorials.
I have spent about 10 minutes playing AoP until I got stuck upon my first boarding.I am still catching up, there has been many developments with the series of games, I honestly haven't touched any of it since POTC...I was in a long beta for Pirates of the Burning Sea MMORPG and some others after that. So I did miss all of the games from POTC to AOP2...
Seconded!I have much to catch up, and looking forward to some fun with all of you!
