Please post everything here that I promised to do, but forgot. I know I have promised some things in the past but forgot to actually do. I am not used to not doing what I promise, but sometimes it does happen. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

from what i've seen on the forums petros, the latest post build 12 is an alpha for the build 13 or pre build 13, don't no which one.
 
I don't know when I'll be working on making Build 13. I am beginning to get a bit fed up with compiling stuff, so I am now wanting to make a mod of my own again: the swords decreasing in quality mod that I mentioned before. After that, I suppose I'll be trying to work on a Build 13. Luckily I'm finally have a holiday again! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Been trying to play the latest modpack (dated 6 Feb but I thought Pieter said he did something since? Anyway it's all in there so that's good, no seperate downloads). Trying to get back into it, maybe release a couple new locations plus some ideas I've had... couple odds and ends, observations and questions:

1) Remember when i found how to "flood" a location? You do this to a jungle and get a quick and easy swamp, it's a lot of fun. I mean if anyone feels like being lost in the swamps for a while, maybe pick up some malaria...

2) I'd like to improve the English of the dialog files for captured captains, but I can't find the file anywhere in the dialog folder.
I'd also change it so you don't actually have to pay the guy, that's a little silly considering you hold his life in your hands...

3) It's just far too easy to get your ship sunk. "Challenging" is one thing but when I get sunk five times in a row just trying to leave an island... one problem here is when I capture one of the two dozen beefy pirates prowling around an island, I've still got that pirate's flag on my captured ship and the fort opens fire on me. Just changing flags isn't enough because the change doesn't actually happen till after you've gone to map mode and returned, impossible if you're surrounded by big beefy enemies.

For the time being I'm going to have to disable coastraiders entirely... pity.

2) The dialog files are now in the English subfolder. I already changed some stuff in that file, but I lost my changes again. STUPID! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
3) That is a bug for Pirate_KK I think. I didn't know that would cause trouble if you capture a pirate ship. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

That <b>shuldn't</b> happen at all!!! On my system when I capture any ship it always changes her flag, regardless of what kind it was before. I tested it also on coastial raiders and never (underline <u>never</u>) got this problem.

Are you sure that your program is correctly installed?

to change the flag you have to bee able to go to the map, not to go to it, but just out of battle mode, that way you should b able to raise the flag, and if you cant do that, is the island your at an enemy nation or is it friendly, not because of the flag, your true relation with it? if it's actually a friend just switch to YOUR flag, you can raise it even when in battle, but if your an enemy of the island's nation, dont.
