I be downloadin' the patch fer me copy o' POTC. Nearly burstin' me sails in excitement, I be installin' it, an' running it. Joy! It ran perfectly, but now I be wantin' to change me money amount an' so on, so I be usin' da tools to o change the amounts. Then me game would start up and hang on da splash screen with da wave, mate! Help!

cant you just change it back again to get it working again? then maybe goto the mods secdtion and download some of the cheat files, so all you have to do is press a key to get a little more to start with
