Hi, guys, im new to the game, and got some questions about its features, I'd be a lot greatfull if any one could help me in any of the doubts ^^
First of all, sorry for the bad english <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I repaired tat if i have a gunner with me, he will give me powder and bullets everytime i get back to my ship, so i guess the officer's job matters for somethings, but i have 2 doctors and a carpenteer with +10 on all stats that r now the only officers i use, was thinking if i have to start looking for others or they will do fine...

Do i really need a navigator + gunner in my extra ships or if i have a navigator with 10 on sailing and 10 on cannon, he will do the job for itself?

Is that ad to have a carpenteer as the only official on a companior ship if he have +10 on sails and cannons and repair?

one more thing, if i give my officers an armor, will it helps his defence or armor only works for the main char?

HI Vizir,

Your english is ok. If you give ALL your officers on your ship the skill "Shared experience" they will have your skills and you will have theirs. Then, it doesnt matter what they are, doctor, carpenter, navigator. In example if you assign 4 officers to a ship with a 4,7,2 and 9 skill level in gunnery, they will all have 9 in gunnery (if they have the shared experience skill).

Hope that helped a bit.

ok, ty...

but that means that i can have only one officer on my second ship if he have good stats?

Will this lonely officer work as navigator AND cannoneer?

At the moment any officer does everything he can and the officer "type" influences pretty much nothing.
Except for the gunner giving you powder and bullets as you already noted.
We still want to add a better system for officers to the game, because it's a bit messed up now.

Hi there guys, i'm not sure if this is still being checked, but i've got a question to ask regarding officers as well:
How do i pay their wages? I have build 13 in, and every month, when i pay the crew, the officers don't get paid and i'd really like to pay them. Currently i have 11 officers (3 accompanying me and 8 more on 2 other ships) and i owe them a total of approx 190,000 gold. How do i go about this? I realised the only way is to offload them on any island with their chest, but i still want to keep them because i've levelled them up pretty far already. I tried signing articles, going to the loanshark, but none of these helped. Any other ways?

thanks for your attention <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> and i REALLY like the mods that you guys put through, makes the game more enjoyable than it already is!!

Their pay should be part of the crew pay as far as I know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> Damn! You made me recall I was supposed to correct all that in Build 13 update 4 I had started to work on... before the summer hollidays... Yes, indeed, the montlhy pay system is severly buged in Build 13.

Try to replace PROGRAM/INTERFACE/salary.c with this one and tell me if it makes any good.

EDIT: i've renamed my frigate as "Morgan's Bane", if it appeases you
