Newbie Question

How do I dock at a port?

I can't seem to get anywhere. I keep getting killed by pirates or a storm hits before I can figure it out. And so then I load my game (thank goodness I saved it at sea so I don't have to see that video over and over and over again.) and start all over again.

Please help. As I'm getting very frustrated.

u can navigate with w,a,s,d (on the worldmap)
set sails to redmond, when u're near enough then push the spacebar
get course to the port of redmond and throw the anchor

On the overhead sail view which you get when sailing out of Oxbay, use the "W" key to move forward, the "S" key to move backwards, the "A" key to move left (port), and the "D" key to move right (starboard).

Hit the TAB key to go from a closeup view to a wider view to see where the other islands are. Just use your mouse to move the camera around.

As DarrenJay suggests, when you sail close enough to the island of Redmond, hit the spacebar and you will be back to sea level. At that point, you should be close enough to do a "sailto" into the port - just hit the "Enter" key and you will get a scrolling menu of icons. Use the arrow keys to scroll down the list until you find the Redmond PORT (not Fort). Hit the "Enter" key while on that icon, and you will do a quick "sailto" the port. Hit the enter key and select the Anchor icon, and you will have landed at the port of Redmond! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
