oh, i am so for this mod! i suggested making the ships elsewhere, but it didn't lead to anything.

ref those card replacement graphics Petros(for the club/diamond etc) - were they all one 'suit' or do you have more versions you could post? They look great by the way - and i can tell Maximus wants them(as do we all i suspect!).

The 5 cards on the top row are all Gold.
The first two on bottom were Cup (chalice), the next two were sword and the last one is the 4 of Club.

It is an image I got online and it does not have them all.

I used to play with this type set as a kid but don't have a set now.
I think I can get a deck from Puerto Rico this Christmas and I can then scan them.

oh while searching for a pirate+spyglass image i came across this site and thought these images could be usefull for some of the card graphics?

If it helps, those old-style card decks are often referred to as the 'minor arcana' in modern tarot card decks.

The only potential gripe is that this deck isn't the easiest one to read at-a-glance (although I personally feel that getting the ten of swords of that deck dealt to you would more than make up for it...)

Oh, and as a quick warning, Tarot cards have 4 picture cards, so either use the 'page' or the 'knight' to replace the jack - and use the same one throughout.


Edit: I do have an old-style deck myself, somewhere - and its much clearer than the one on Wiki. I'll see if I can find it.

Also, it springs to mind that the Major Arcana could be included if someone wanted to add a Fortune Teller into the taverns...although for the Teller's sake, you'd have to hope they didn't deal a pirate captain "The Hanged Man" or "Death", or it might be their last ever reading.
