new Black Pearl

so, if you encounter them in daylight, you see normal crew, and if you encounter them at night, you see skellys?

(LOL!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />)

I wonder what it was like in the stock game. I know there are skeleton crewmember models. But were they ever used in the game?

According to the walkthrough I've seen (from Gamefaqs), they appear as skeletons in the stock game.

Then the modding work must somehow have changed that. But how or when? That particular piece of code isn't even accessible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Sigh... this is getting ridiculous...

You see, I've made more than 3/4 of the walk file. The thing is, POTC refuses to make crewmen walk to certain points. For example, there's a path leading up the stairs through poop deck. Ingame, however, all crewmen walk happily up the stairs, and then turn around and walk down.

I... I don't know why is that. I can't find any fault in my walk file... what's more, after I took another walk file, I could see that crewmen exibit the very same behaviour - they simply refuse to walk through certain points, even though they were quite happy to walk through it when it belonged to original ship.

So, as of right now I have aftermentioned 3/4 of the walk file - guys will walk on the forecastle and main deck, and up the stairs of the poop deck, but no more. I didn't even put points for the ratlines, seeing that they'll ignore them as well <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I wished I could help you, but I know nothing about walk files. Except that they're terribly annoying to make. But it's better to have an imperfect walk file than no walk file at all, so it's quite good news that you did manage to make a walk file! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I've just uploaded the <i>Black Pearl</i> v1.1 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Changes to the actual model are mostly cosmetic - I've added anchors, remodeled sculptures at the bow, straightened fore guns a little... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

I've also tweaked ship's stats a little, and added walk file for the crewmen. Imperfect as it is, it does work, so you'll be able to see crewmen walking around.

Thought you might want to know <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Excellent. I'll download now and try her out. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Cheers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I don't care about it being imperfect. As long as it is good. And I know your work is good. And the model itself is EXCELLENT! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
