I was just wondering what the good people of this fourm name their ships?

I am curently sailing with two ships, a ship of the line and a frigate.
I named the sol "The Inferno" after One Eyed Williy's famous boat, and the frigate "Rhymin & Stealin" after a good ol' tune from the 80's.
 
Mine be named after my girlfriend Amabel - "The Bella". Do I win corniest ship name ever <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
 
My Pirate is named Amra <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> and his ship, a Royal Sloop, is named "Zenobia". <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ty" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

My flagship is named <i>Second Chance</i>, because early in the game I lost my first sloop and ended up with only two beat up trade galleons. As I was sailing, wondering how I can do anything with a trade galleon and no way to buy a warship, a pirate sloop came by and without firing a shot boaded me. So that sloop became my second chance.

My second ship is <i>Contingency</i> since that's what she is, my backup plan should a naval battle or a swordfight not go my way.

Zenobia was the name of his Queen after he became king. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

By the way, I LOVE those books, the original ones by Howard are the best. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> I have them all. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
My ship is usually called "The Howling Wolf", whereas my second ship (if I happen to have one) is often called "The Furious Bunny" (after my wife...).

@GIJoe: Also Robert Jordan's Conan books are OK, but I agree that Howard was the best, Conan being his creation and all... I always liked Belit the best, but her fate was sad...

My royal sloop is named in honour of my friend Laura, she's called "Margaritaville". <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
I have a ship of the line named "Sea Bitch", and Royal Sloop named the "Impatient Virgin" - I saw a `B-17` during WWII named that and always thought it was great. I also have another Royal Sloop called the "Elizabeth Galley" that I took from a series of books on the "Brethren of the Coast" by James L. Nelson - which is some great Pirate fiction btw!
 
my ship is a brigandine (the most effective ship in game)
and named Syren like in master and commander

they renamed the surprise for hiding as a walecatcher
to syren so i named my ship like that

play on hardest level and say game is still easy
then you are a real pirate
 
I sometimes name my ship the "Siren of the Seas"... Current one is "Black Death". <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
I just stuck with Revenge, what with it being so appropriate an all. Infact, the names of my fleet tend to be pretty steady, even if the actual ships themselves change.
 
I prefer Royal Sloops or Mailrunners. As for names, Valkyrie and Insolent Mynx.

I don't have Pirates! but on Pirates of the Caribbean my flagship (a Cutter) is named 'Marksman'. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
