OK,
THanks for this site and all the helpful information!
Definitely makes this game that much more enjoyable.
Here's my issue. I am working my way tourough the quests, (with some walkthough advice) I made it to the Pirate Leader house on Deouwesan I isalnd and got the Idols that the Governor wants returned.
I get back to my ship, which is now a Bark, and when I head out to sea I face no less than 5 pirate ships, 3 much larger than I.
I cannot switch to MAP mode as long as they are close to me...they chase me down and I end up sinking.
What I find happening nearly all the time is entering or leaving port, whenever I come out of the MAP world I am surrounded by 4 plus pirate ships...I might get to the island with my ship in tact, but when I come out of MAP, I have to battle numerous Pirates and the few times I succeed, I end up mooring with a beaten and battered ship that pretty much cleans me out financially to repair.
I actually boarded and caputered a Galleon but by the time I came out of MAP world near my next port, there was nothing left....
Swim Call, Swim Call.......
Is this normal?
Is there any way to reduce the number of pirates when transitioning from SEA to MAP worlds?
Thanks
Rotor
