mod to fix godawful controls in potc?

i was wondering if anyone has made a mod that finally converts potc to the standard wads control format. a jumping button and straffing keys would be a dramatic improvement to overall gameplay. if not, maybe some programming genius out there can make one.

It's unlikely that strafing and jumping will ever be put into the game as the game engine might not be able to handle it.

You can reprogram the keys to whatever you want in game and if the key doesn't show up there then it is possible to reprogram it by modifying the code.

Speaking of controls, I thought of something I'd like to borrow from my favourite RPG, "Earthbound."

In that, when your player comes in contact with some intoxicant, all the controls are mixed around - you press up to go left, down to go up, etc. Can we make it so when you drink the rum or wine bottle to restore health in a battle, the "inverted controls" option is temporarily switched on to simulate being tipsy? I think it'd be more fun, kinda stumbling through a swordfight like a drunken sailor.

Why stop there, you could have them change around completely multiple times while drunk!
