Mix Characters

Under Extras in Ines Diaz Tool there is this possibility to change heads. Suddenly it´s not working for me. How are you supposed to execute the procedure? Please help someone - I did it earlier but must have missed/forgotten something now. //JRH

Do a forum search, Jack. If I remember correctly, there is another thread that has full instructions on how to exchange heads.

Open tool and under "Extras" in menu bar, open Mix Characters.

A box opens where you then scroll down to select one character on the left, and the other character you wish to switch heads with on the right.

edit:
Tool puts the switched head model.gm files in POTC\Resource\models\characters\mixed

Thanks for the assist, Petros!

Thanks for your answers. I did it just the way you described it Petros, without any success.

I have several POTC games (of different dates) on my computer. When mixing heads & bodys in one of the games the mixed result showed up in the "mixed " folder yes - BUT IN ANOTHER (earlier used) GAME.

I don´t know now how to get Ines tool to pick models from a game choosen by me, I can see when scrolling down in the boxes that it is always that old game. (Late models are not present.)

I can live with this now - only want to know! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

Oh yeah, it does that!
Do this. Go to where Tool is located on your hard drive, most likely:
C:\Program files\Modding\Tool

Then open the "VrmlImExporter.ini" file.
It looks something like this:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean
f:\Pirates of the Caribbean\Resource\Textures\characters
chkAddX=True
chkAddToScene=True
chkDropLocations=True
AutoSetTextureDir=False
chkReverseNormals=False
chkChangeYZ=True<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Note the first line points to the installation of POTC tool looks in.
The second line points to the textures it will use.

Just change the first line to the installation you want to work in.

Ok! Thank you Petros, I´ll try that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
