main quest and blacque family

main quest: for the "deliver the chest" quest, oweyn (at oxbay) tells you where the guy who knows about the black pearl can be found in Falaise de Fleur. however, i accidently saved the game after that, and don't have a save where he can explain it to me. so, can someone tell me where to find this guy/girl?

also, for the blacque family, i just got the entry about the lady saying something is wrong with the guy, and i will find out soon...anyone know what i should do to continue this quest?

LOL - I just finished this one today while I was testing Cat's FB quest.

Okay, so the old guy is loony. You learn the Harbor Master knows of the Blacque family. He explains the story and tells you about Rachel. Rachel can be found a couple screens over from behind the Harbor Master. I think she's dressed in that purple/white dress.

I've got a problem of my own with the "saga of the blacques" quest. I've found Marc Blacque, and agreed to pay off his ransom to Thomas O'Reily in order to take him back to FDF. However, when I talked to O'Reily, there was no dialog related to Marc at *all*. Then, when I found Marc again and talked to him, I just got a "Good day, " in his dialog, with no response of my own available. Is this a bug in the code? I found a message on the forum from someone who had the same problem back in build 10.0, but other people had finished the same quest with no problems, so I assume it's some random thing.

If it helps, I hadn't yet told O'Reily that I'd delivered his goods to Arnaud Matton, so maybe the two dialogs can't be mingled together? I'll try talking to him about that first, THEN finding Marc Blacque. Maybe that's the problem.. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

UPDATE: Indeed, that was the problem. Apparently one can't work while the other's still "in progress." I talked to O'Reily and got the trade quest dialog out of the way, <i>then</i> spoke to Marc, and the proper dialog was there when I spoke to O'Reily again. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

old topic i know, but i need help with this blacque quest.

i've spoken to the two guys at the falaise port, and rachel. now it says something like "what can i do to find out more?" in my quest book. i've searched high and low in redmond for this marc blacque fellow, but i cant find the bugger. where's he hiding? oh, another thing, when i spoke to rachel, i think i gave her money. was that wrong?

well, i'd rather not have you love me, but anyway:

giving her money wasn't a bad thing to do, but you could have gotten the rep bonus without making it cost you money, and you could have threatened that dock-ape. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=")" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

marc is near the town hall. he's in your regular sailor's outfit.
