lil bug preventing me from completing the game

I'm at the temple but the alcove thingy it won't let me use the portal to get up, further more at the end of the maze I can't place the item >.>

let me guess...you sank or scuttled silehards ship, right? if you do that, it indeed causes that bug. it's no problem if you sink it after the main quest, but if you do it before the end, you will be unable to complete it.

I did indeed, =/ I had made it surrender and it wouldn't let me go ashore till I sank it. I scuttled him cause I had no use for the ship as I had actually captured a slightlyb etter one from a pirate, a ship of hte line slightly less crew slightly more speed and maneuverability.

I guess I'm set back an entire game year then <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" />

anyway to fix the bug?

I suppose the bug CAN be fixed. I don't know how though. And I'm not going to work on fixing it either. I'm too busy with real life now to do much for PotC.

bah I was able to get out of the damn island anyways, and still get my reward for killing silihad and get my anmesty and all that jazz. so really I just didn't get to sink black pearl, wich isn't that big of a deal to me, I can still play my character so I'm happy =)

how the hell should I know? I just swapped to my frigate, as I went in with two man of wars, a 44 gun frigate and surprise, and I sailed out and headed to redmond >.> I even some how managed to lose danelle and that professor guy. who knows, I'm just grateful I didn't have to go back a year in game time.

now i'm just having fun assaulting ports and such with my lil fleet =)

I reported that bug a long time ago and placed it in the bugtracker!
It took a while to sink in, to capture the ManoWar and use it before
landing at Khael Roa! Even if you keep on using your org ship with
having the ManoWar in tow (placing one of your officers on it) will not
get you thru the Quest! So, you better take command of Silehards beauty
before landing on the island!

that's not true. i had my original ship and could still finish the main quest. my officer had silehards ship.
