Land Grants and Piracy

Hey if I say got the highest rank for all Countries. gotten max outta land grants, and then I decide to become a pirate, and I pretty much raid all the towns, would that hurt my rank and/or land grants?

If so, how does this affect the money I have held by the money lenders when I raid the towns?

If you leave a nation's service, yes, you lose your rank and land.
