I signed articles and now i cant go back!

I just signed articles with my crew (well, actually it was about 5 ships ago..) and everything was goin well, til i decided to stop the pirate life for a while..but now I cant switch back to salary? the button is greyed out and i dont know why..
any ideas?

You need to distribute the plunder again and then immediately after doing so (within one day) you should be able to go back to paying your crew by salary. There was a bug in connection with this some time ago but I'm pretty sure it's been fixed now. Do you have the latest Modpack update?
