I need help with the Pearl

Ok so i'm new to this game, bought it really cheap and i love it. I installed all the build 13 mods so I'm up to date. Now i started playing around with all the txts files modifying the game to my needs and i want to have the Black Pearl that Kaziete made, because it looks really good, the only problems is when i'm sailing and i go to first person view to walk around the deck i can't get it to work, i just go through the ship. I tried to install the 2.1 version of the pearl but when i do that then the game just crashes and doesn't work. Any help on how i can walk around the deck in first person view while sailing the ship?
 
Hi, Check in the thread about the AOP Brig there should be a link from Pieter to the filmships mod. The new Pearl is in there.
 
Hm i have a problem, i seemed to have this problem quite a few times. I installed the mod by placing the files in their designated areas, replacing all that needed to be replaced. I then went into the InternalSettings file and placed all the new ships available at the start of a new game, and when i started a new game, there weren't any ships available and when i clicked back the game exited itself and it said that there is some time of error. Any suggestions?
 
Have you installed Build 13 Final, if so you may need the original file called common as there is a mod that enables Gambling which is not part of build 13 try these files: <a href="http://seanorris.googlepages.com/Common.zip" target="_blank">http://seanorris.googlepages.com/Common.zip</a>

Once they are in place you will need to go to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean\PROGRAM\InternalSettings in this file there is many things you can change such as your starting ship which look like this for example:

#define NEW_SHIP_3 "Lugger1" //

Change the entry to:

#define NEW_SHIP_3 "theBlackPearl" //

There are 8 ships to choose from at the start of a new game any of these can be changed to your liking as long as you only change the name between the "shipname ".

Please note that the <a href="http://pafiles.com/potc/FilmShips.zip" target="_blank">FilmShips</a> mod was made for Build 14 Alpha 6 and is NOT readily compatible with Build 13. The ships <i>can</i> be added to Build 13, but it requires some additional work and you need to make sure that you do things correctly. You can try to extract only the MODELS and Textures files for theBlackPearl to Build 13 without doing anything with the code files. That might work.
 
alright thanks so much for the help mates, i finally figured the problem, i extracted all the film ships and replaced what needed to be replaced, the only new thing i did was i kept my original ships_init file and i added the ships in there and all went well, the pearl and dutchman are nice but i prefer the wicked wench, which really is quite a lovely, highly detailed, grand ship. Thank you guys so much for all the help.
 
The Wicked Wench should be just as detailed as the Black Pearl; it's the same model. But a different colour, of course. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
indeed. but i think the details are better visible on the wench because it's lighter.
