you do NOT have to be a pirate to buy the pirate ships at their islands..all u have to do it have ur uhhh notority or w/e at cutthroat or higher and have a pirate flag raised and they will let u buy one of their ships <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> i was proud when i found that out

How do you raise the pirate flags? I went around boarding and taking over pirates vessels, though whenever I port to repair, the sails go to white grrrrr. I want the badass looking black sails, can this only be done with the mods?

well i have build 14alpha6 on mine and i can pick red sails or black saids and i can raise any flag i want even a pirate flag, i dont think u can do that if ur playing just the stock game if thats what ur doing
