Hi there,


how can I control a ship, comanded by one of my officers? I want them to leave the battle, but he rhimself recognised great chance to be sunk ...

What you need to do is when you are in a battle, hit the "enter" key and scroll down the row of icons until you find the "Give Order" icon. Then hit the "enter" key again, and it will give you your selection of allied ships. Select the one you wish to give the order to and hit "enter" again, and you will see a list of orders - scroll down until you find the one sailing away - I think it says "Sail Away" - and select it and hit "enter" again. Your allied ship will then stop battling and turn and head for the horizon.

Yep, and whereas I don't know what the programming is telling it to do, it seems to me from observation that it tries to sail with the wind as best it can.

Even it that course takes it within range of something really nasty or in between you and your target.

Sometimes you could just smack those guys.
